Snoozing Puppy - she will be six weeks old tomorrow.
She is looking more like her poodle-terrier dad than the chihuahua mom.
Officially entering her chewing stage, the sharp little puppy teeth have come in. Puppies are so funny when they try to run, staggering sideways like an intoxicated reveler and doing more of a bounce-bounce in the air.
Though she has been eating solid foods for about a week, she still chases Mom hoping for a comfort suckle. But it’s not happening.
Momma Frida is scheduled to be spade next week. No more puppies here. I adore them, but prefer older dogs.
I haven’t decided whether to name her or what I would name her if/when I do. Gypsy, Pumpkin, Pepper, Dora the Explorer, Deja, Corky … the list goes on.

From puppy to companion - Sophia and her guardian enjoyed camping, hiking, and rock climbing together.

Police officers rescued the little pup from an abusive owner. And then one adopted her.
