Birthday Girl - Photo and Comments by Aaron Meyers:
On the 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge a special celebration was planned. The bridge was closed to traffic and an amazing fireworks performance was set to highlight the special day. 75 years after being built the Golden Gate Bridge still stands as an icon on the north-west edge of San Francisco. Hundreds of thousands of visitors stop by, walk across the bridge, and snap photos of this bridge each year. Just as the fireworks began, a set of sparklers were lit, giving the underside of the bridge the appearance of a blanket. At the same time, the first of the fireworks exploded in a grand celebration for her birthday.
