Locks of Love
lovers leave locks on fences, bridges, gates, etc., to commemorate their commitment to love one another forever - It is seen all over the world these days. Very sweet sentiment, if not realistic, but I think much better than carving hearts into living trees.

I keep seeing pictures of these padlocks around the internet, in NY, Paris, these in Seoul.  It’s a charming meme.
In this June 13, 2010 photo, a couple take a photograph in front of thousands of pad locks that decorate the fences surrounding the landmark of the N Seoul Tower, in Namsan Mountain in central Seoul, South Korea. The locks, symbolizing everlasting love and friendship, first appeared in the late 1990’s and are now in the tens of thousands, hung in a cult-like ritual with notes and photos from visiting lovers and friends.
