Pablo Picasso - Bull (1945)
About Picasso’s series:
“Pablo Picasso created ‘Bull’ around the Christmas of 1945. ‘Bull’ is a suite of eleven lithographs that have become a master class in how to develop an artwork from the academic to the abstract. In this series of images, all pulled from a single stone, Picasso visually dissects the image of a bull to discover its essential presence through a progressive analysis of its form. Each plate is a successive stage in an investigation to find the absolute ‘spirit’ of the beast.”

Photographer’s Comment:
I tried to photo (sic) this wonderful big male with these amazing tusks from a low level to enhance the sense of greatness of the animal. While I was shooting my thinking run sadly to poachers. Ngorongoro, Tanzania

From Costa Rica.com: The event is held at the Zapote fairgrounds in San Jose, and the formal Spanish tradition has evolved somewhat. The bull ring is opened December 26th, and the famous bullfights begin. The runs consist of improvised bullfighters that take their turn jumping in the ring to tease and make fun of the bull. In Costa Rica it is prohibited by national law to kill the bull.

El Toro 1 - from some years ago. *made in Paint
I keep finding things from my old computer that I thought were dust in the winds, so I am posting some personal items here as a vault of sorts.  Indulgence, yes, but am using this as a personal foot locker of sorts.
