LIGHTNING OVER THE GOLD COAST
Photo and comment by Pawel Papis:
This was taken just couple weeks ago (21/10/12) in Gold Coast, Australia. I was reading some weather updates on the Internet that evening and noticed that big storm was coming from the West. I had to move quickly as I had to drive to this location approx. 15 min. I was hoping to capture something special that evening and finally after 2 years of trying I managed to take photo of the lightning with a decent composition. Yayyy !!! Technical: This is one exposure f8, 5sec. 400 ISO (no image blending) and pretty much straight out of camera with minor adjustments in lightroom.
Sarcozona praecox is an inland pigface. It differs from other pigface in that it is more scrubby and its flowers are partly submerged in the leaves. (Friends of the Great Victoria Desert)
I adore Aboriginal art, the subjects and themes, the spirit-ethereal world combined with the wonders of nature, the earth, the sky, man one with nature, the color choice combinations, patterns and lines, the structure without losing the freedom of the creativity; it really is beautiful.

The Butterfly Effect - clouds hovering over the sea - Comment and Photo by Vimal Raveendran
This is one of the sights that I feel fortunate to have witnessed. This photo was taken when myself and some friends were hiking near the Murray’s Trail at Jervis Bay, Australia.
Instead of running after seeing the cloud pattern, I just stood there taking pictures. This is one of the many pictures taken before The clouds passed above our heads and it started to rain heavily.
