A young gannet at an RSPB reserve in northern England has been captured presenting a floral necklace to a would-be mate. Experts say the birds are renowned for their faithfulness and regularly re-decorate their nest, which a pair returns to each year, with grass and flowers. However, young birds often use the area’s flora as gifts as part of mating rituals.
